Strung with Mari Charango Strings 26-1/2" (26-9/16") at the very tip of the Bolivian Charango, which is tuned like a Ukulele with an extra E at the bottom for extra fun. Tuning G C E A E The Charango is a small Andean stringed instrument of the lute family, which probably originated in the Quechua and Aymara populations in the territory of the Altiplano in post-Colonial times, after European stringed instruments were introduced by the Spanish during colonialization. According to wikipedia the instrument is widespread throughout the Andean regions of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, northern Chile and northwestern Argentina, where it is a popular musical instrument that exists in many variant forms.
